NLC Leaders Meets Saraki Over The Nationwide Strike

The president Nigerian labour congress, Comrade Ayuba Wabba and his team met for about fourty minutes behind closed doors on Thursday evening with the senate president Bukoka Saraki to discuss the nationwide strike over the hike in fuel price that has been termed anti people and insensitive.
The senate president stressed the strike would continue and that his group were ready to return to the negotiation table anytime invitation to that effect was extended to them.
He also debunked rumours that the labour leaders walked out on the negotiation tram before the strike started. Meanwhile, the green chamber has called for the payment of a living wage to cushion the effects of the new pump price, an indirect support for the increase in the minimum wage.
