Shuaibu Amodu Dead; How It Happened.

Former Super Eagles Coach Shuaibu Amodu is dead just three days after Stephen Keshi died and yet again today the death of four time former Super Eagles coach, Shaibu Amodu was confirmed.
According to close relatives, Amodu
complained of chest pains on friday and silently died in his sleep in Benin.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)
announced Saturday about his death.
Amodu, who qualified Nigeria to two World Cups, in 2002 and 2010, was to have replaced Sunday Oliseh, who quit as the country’s coach in February, but Amodu declined on health grounds.
Senior football officials told AFP Amodu was hypertensive and had been on medication.
Amodu rose to prominence when he guided BCC Lions of Gboko to win the Africa Cup Winners Cup in 1991.
He was subsequently rewarded with leading the Super Eagles in 1994.
He took this post at least three
other times during which time he qualified the country to two World Cups. But on both occasions he was not the man in charge at the final tournaments.
Amodu who was born April 1958 was the current Technical Director of the NFF. What a big loss yet again, may his soul rest in perfect peace.
