The Friend-Zone- Episode 2

Episode 2.

 I rushed back to where I heard the noise, I saw Bukola covered with mud and raining curses on the driver of the car. I moved closer to her and dragged her somewhere to apologize on his behalf.
 She was raining another curse on the person who dragged her away until she realized it was me. She apologized and she thanked me.

I walked her back to her hostel to get cleaned up. Along the way, I was hoping she would call my name but I noticed she referred to me as "the friend from before" or "Charx's friend". I was a little bit disappointed but I decided to keep mute till she comes back to her senses.

We got to her front door then she asked for my name one more time. I gave her my Nick name rather than my name to at least hide my identity. She then asked if she could get my number which I obediently obliged. We about to part ways when I felt her lips touching my cheek.

She gave me a peck I guess. I felt a force riding through my legs which I later had to let go when we finally separated. I couldn't sleep all through the night. I had so many thoughts waving through my mind. I began to feel I was in love. I soon slept off. The next morning, I woke up very early because I was having a 9am class which is very important.

I left my apartment 8:15am to catch the early morning bus. As I got to the school's gate, I saw someone I think might have seen before.

The lady was putting on a blue gown with a red footwear. Her light skin glowed like they were from the sun, shining like I've never had a glimpse of the sun before. I moved closer and to my utmost surprise, it was Bukola. She looked prettier than the night before. I could presume that it was probably because I saw her in the night. She hugged me when she saw me. I was surprised again.

 We exchanged pleasantries and had a little conversation about last night. Soon, a bus arrived and we both entered together,sitting close to each other.

 I was nervous and didn't know what to talk about. I was just staring at my phone and taking a closer look at myself to see if I wore anything wrong. I could tell she's a fashion freak. She then brought out a book titled; "The Love Beginning" by K.C Adams. She asked me if I had read it before. I replied with a smile.

 The bus arrived @ the Bus-stop and I paid the fare for the both us. She thanked me and gave a me a smile. We then left for our various destinations. I got into the class and was about checking the time when I realized my phone was gone...
