Chaos greeted Central Italy on the early hours of Wednesday, August 24 when a powerful earthquake ripped through several towns devastating scores of building.
Atleast 38 persons have been reported dead and dozens more injured,trapped or even missing.
New York times records that Amatrice,Arquata del Tronto and Pescara del Tronto were among the most heavily hit towns in the regions of Umbria,Lazio and Marche as the quake records a magnitude of between 6.0-6.2.
