The Unavailability Of Electricity For A While Now; "Double" Darkness- Ify Chuks(Jnr)

Totally dissatisfied with the epileptic supply of electricity on campus, I had an "impromptu two point agenda".

The first was to make my charger my closest companion while the second was to start making plans to visit my friends in town in order to charge.

These two plans played out just fine, I eventually set out on a friend's place in town.
I tried my possible best to take my eyes off the private hostels which had electricity supply.
With my eyes green with " electrical envy", I felt the urge to locate the source of the light in town & shut it down if possible.
My mission for today played out well. In about four hours, I was done charging. My phone & power bank were filled to a reasonable level.

The long walk to my hall of residence started again(Fajuyi hall, OAU), I got there in a matter of half an hour, the school compound nearly enveloped in darkness.

In Fajuyi hall, the buttery hosted students who came from all walks of life to charge.

Extension boxes were plugged on one another, any slight adjustment or movements of chargers could make the total connection dysfunctional. Trust "Fajurians", they could literally bite you if one happened to be the cause.
Journeying to my room, my attention was drawn by a friend to a congregation of people in front of the cyber-cafe located downstairs.

I was shocked to my marrow, one could easily mistake the gathering for a crusade ground. I realised that the buttery scene was a small sight, this large congregation staring me in the face was the real deal. I then deduced what great a damage this electricity supply had done to the students of this institution (Obafemi Awolowo University).

For students who are lazy like me, this is a perfect opportunity to skip classes for now till light returns. Who would want to attend classes with rumpled clothes?

On the part of the school management, a notice would have been served to all students concerning the absence of light for more than 24hours now.

We've been kept in the dark by both the school management & the light itself.
Double darkness!
