In a new that was confirmed by the FA on Tuesday, evening after a day of talks between the former Sunderland boss and his FA bosses over allegations he discussed how to circumvent rules on player transfers recently.
The 61-year-old only oversaw one match as England boss in the 1-0 win over Slovakia in the World cup qualifier.
However, Gareth Southgate will be the interim boss for England's next four matches.
According to the FA statement which read in full: "The FA can confirm that Sam Allardyce has left his position as England manager.
"Allardyce's conduct, as reported today, was inappropriate of the England manager. He accepts he made a significant error of judgement and has apologised. However, due to the serious nature of his actions, The FA and Allardyce have mutually agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
"This is not a decision that was taken lightly but The FA's priority is to protect the wider interests of the game and maintain the highest standards of conduct in football. The manager of the England men's senior team is a position which must demonstrate strong leadership and show respect for the integrity of the game at all times.
"Gareth Southgate will take charge of the men's senior team for the next four matches against Malta, Slovenia, Scotland and Spain whilst The FA begins its search for the new England manager.
"The FA wishes Sam well in the future."
Some Video footage released by the Telegraph appeared to show Allardyce mocking predecessor Roy Hodgson, calling Prince Harry "a very naughty boy" and accusing the FA of being "all about making money". Other allegations was that Allardyce negotiated in principle a deal to travel to the Far East as a paid ambassador for the fictitious businessmen.
What a disappointment that is on Allardyce's part, a job he really wanted has gone just because of some little comments of his......it goes to the saying of watching your lips in every situation you are because you never can tell.
