*UI STUDENT UNION CLEARS THE AIR ON THE PURPORTED BOMB SCARE*
It behooves the Union leadership to clear the air of the rumour making the rounds about the purported bomb scare which was circulated among some staff of the institution on social media platforms.
According to the message, the group threatened to bomb the school before Independence Day, 1st October, 2016, saying that students and staff were their targets.
After making much clarifications from the management and school security agency, it will interest you all to know that the message was sent to cause unnecessary panic in the minds of the people. We assure you that the Police and the Department of State Security are on top of the situation as they have deployed intelligence officers to provide adequate security in the school and have also put all necessary security arrangement in place to forestall such an ugly incident.
We hereby enjoin all UItes and the school community at large that they shouldn't panic and should go about their normal business and disregard any of such further messages.
*N.B:* Be conscious of the environment and report strange object and movement.
