EARTH RESEARCH TOPIC: PLACES NOT REALLY VISTED ON EARTH

1. ILHA DE QUEIMADA GRANDEL LOCATION: BRAZIL (GOLDEN LANCEHEAD VIPERS) These vipers can kill a person in under an hour, they are capable of killing most prey and melting human flesh almost instantly. Ninety percent of snake bites in brazil come from lance head snakes, the black market sellers in brazil sell them through illegal channels, A single golden lance heads can go for anywhere from ($10,000 - $30,000). That might make Snake Island less terrifying for humans. The snake’s venom can cause kidney failure, necrosis of muscular tissue, brain hemorrhaging and intestinal bleeding. A bite from a golden lance head carries a seven percent chance of death and even with treatment; victims still have a three percent chance of dying. The main reason why people don’t go there is the fact that they are scared of death.

2. GUANTANAMO BAY LOCATION: CUBA (PRISON) It is a united states naval station, It was built in 1898 and it’s still effective till this very moment. Guantanamo bay is an old military base in Cuba that was later turned prison. It holds people suspected of terrorism, but holds them without a trial, and they are indefinitely imprisoned. Problem is, probably not all are terrorists, or they weren’t before they went there .They’ve not had time and motivation to become terrorists. People hardly/can’t go there because they want to shut it down reason been that they run an internal part of  America legal system is innocent until proven guilty and there is not such thing as being innocent, The means of extracting information on Guantanamo bay has also been less than pleasant, so people want to shut it down.

 3. ARK OF THE CONVENANT LOCATION: ETHIOPIA (CHURCH OF  OUR LADY MARY OF ZION) Due to the holiness of a very important biblical object which is preserved there, only a qualified monk has the privilege of entering the temple ,the original Ark of covenant, which according to tradition came to Ethiopia with MENELIK after his father KING SOLOMON. The gigantic Aksum cathedral close by is the church of Our Lady Mary of Zion where the ark of the covenant is supposedly kept. Although the Ethiopians claim to possess the ark of covenant, no one has been allowed to see it. Due to holiness and relevance of the ark, only a specific chosen monk has the privilege & access of entering the temple and no one else is allowed to lay eyes on it or even get close.

4. NI’IHAU LOCATION: HAWAII (AN EXOTIC HAWAIIAN ISLAND) Ni’ihau is the seventh largest of the inhabited Hawaiian island. This island has no paved way, no stores, no restaurants, no electricity, no doctors, no police, no fire department; no cars and no indoor plumbing. These are the absence of certain things on Ni’ihau that seems to be an enduring aspect of life on the forbidden island. Elizabeth Sinclair purchased Ni’ihau in 1864 from the kingdom of Hawaii and private ownership has been passed on to her descendants, the Robinson family. This island is closed to most visitors in order to preserve its indigenous culture and wildlife.

 5. ISE GRAND SHRINE LOCATION: JAPAN Ise grand shrine in japan is a shrine dedicated to the goddess (AMATERASUOMIKAMI).The ise grand shrine consists of two main shrines and about 125 traditional shrines. Access to the site is strictly limited, the only person who can enter is the priest or priestess who must be a member of the Japanese imperial family.  The general public is allowed to see little more than the thatched roofs of the central structures, which are hidden behind four tall wooden fences. This ise grand shrine is the holiest and most important shrine in japan.

6. JATINGA LOCATION: INDIA (THE MYSTERY OF BIRDS) In northeastern India, there is a small lush green village called JATINGA. Every year, several migratory and local birds throw themselves into the walls of building and trees. The villagers then capture and kill the dying birds. The unusual occurrence happens during September & November and it has confused the villagers. The birds that catapult themselves to the wall are scary birds only the brave go there to pick up the dead birds & kill the injured ones as well.

7. OVERTOUN BRIDGE LOCATION: SCOTLAND On the bridge at least whopping 50 dogs have leapt to their death from the bridge. Some even say there have been as many as 600 dogs that have died this way. Though 50-600 dogs is a huge range. The jumping seems completely purposeful, people have reported seeing dogs jump off the bridge, survive the fall run up the bridge and jump again……until they die. If these tragic incidents happen to dogs, human being dare not move close to it.

8. LEAKIN-PARK LOCATION: BATTIMORE (WHERE PEOPLE GO TO BURY BODIES) If you are digging in leakin-park to bury your body, you are going to find somebody else’s. Since 1946 at least 68 bodies have been found, but some think the park’s reputation is not deserved, and it should be appreciated for its beauty. It’s a terrific park and it’s full of lots of hiking trails, and lots of things to do, Either way, this is most definitely not a place you would want to visit at night, because who knows what, or whom you might come across.

 9. KARNI-MATA TEMPLE LOCATION: INDIA Karni-Mata temple, better known as the TEMPLE OF RATS, because it’s filled with thousands of rodents. But the rats are actually there for one very important, spiritual purpose to honor the rat goddess KARNI. Karni-Mata is a mystic matriarch from the 14th century, was an incarnation of durga; the goddess of power & victory. At some point during her life, the child of one of her clansmen died. She attempted to bring the child of the clansman back to life, only to be told by YAMA; the god of death, that he had already been reincarnated. Though the rats serve a meaningful purpose, not everyone will be running to get inline to pay tribute at this temple .Unless you love rats very well before you could get inside.

10. DARVAZA CRATER LOCATION: TURKMENISTAN (DOOR TO HELL) This giant hole, known as the “DOOR TO HELL” that has been burning for 40years for good & unknown reason, the 225 feet wide,99 feet deep crater has been consistently burning for nearly four decades. Though it is unclear how the phenomenon originally occurred, it has been speculated that soviet scientist set the gas filled on fire, underestimating how much fuel lay below   Few would like to stand at the edge of the raging flames of the crater, but it’s going to burn the person right away
