Tankers,building destroyed in Delta inferno.

A fire started at around seven pm on friday, when the petroleum product in a tanker that had mechanical fault, was being transferred to another tanker.

The incident occurred at the Ekpan tankers park, near the warri refinery, in uvwei local govt area of Delta state.
The building close to the place was also destroyed alongside the tankers.
The inferno was said to have been caused by the cigarette that was not properly put off by a smoker.
"over 300 tankers would have been destroyed, if not for the swift intervention of the tanker drivers around" said, someone who pleaded anonymous.
Those who lived nearby were spotted exiting their homes, Peradventure the fire was not properly contained. The fire fighter were on ground but were not able to contain the fire, till it spread to a few tankers.
